python-sunpinyin software package provides Simplified Chinese Input Method from SUN (Python binding), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-sunpinyin
python-sunpinyin is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-sunpinyin package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-sunpinyin *
You will get with python-sunpinyin package name, version, architecture and description in a table
